HTV Going Public
TPCG.ORG: Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government -
One of the most southern of all Louisiana parishes, Terrebonne Parish was established March 22, 1822, from the southern part of Lafourche Interior, bordering upon the Gulf of Mexico. Covering an area of 2100 square miles, it is the 2nd largest parish in the state. The early French settlers who christened this parish must have been impressed with the fertility of the soil and marshes because the words "terre bonne" mean "good earth."

PAL: Ports of Louisiana -
Louisiana has an abundance of ports and port related infrastructure in large part due to its expansive waterway system. These ports are highly significant as they provide state owned cargo transfer facilities and equipment for many water related industries.

Port Fourchon -
The Greater Lafourche Port Commission, a political subdivision of the state of Louisiana, facilitates the economic growth of the communities in which it operates by maximizing the flow of trade and commerce.

Morgan City Port -
The Port of Morgan City is the birthplace of the offshore oil exploration industry. It has been an avenue of both domestic and international trade since 1957, with convenient, direct access to ocean-going traffic across the globe.

Lumcon -
The Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) was formed in 1979 to coordinate and stimulate Louisiana's activities in marine research and education. LUMCON provides coastal laboratory facilities to Louisiana universities, and conducts research and educational programs in the marine sciences.

Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce -
The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce is an 800+ member business association. From business advocacy to networking events, the Chamber offers its members many opportunities to improve their businesses and their community.

America's Wetland -
America's WETLAND is one of the largest and most productive expanses of coastal wetlands in North America. This valuable landscape extending along Louisiana's coast is disappearing at a rate of 25 square miles per year.

Houma Today: The Houma Daily Courier -
The Courier is now in its 126th year of publication and is Terrebonne Parish's oldest living newspaper. Its dedication to public service began in 1878 with the birth of Le Courrier de Houma - literally The Houma Courier.

HTV 10 News Online -
KFOL-CA and KJUN-CA are Class A television stations in Houma and Morgan City, Louisiana, respectively, owned locally by Folse Communications LLC. KFOL broadcasts locally in analog on UHF channel 30, while KJUN broadcasts locally in analog on VHF channel 7. The stations brand themselves as HTV 10, for Houma TeleVision channel 10. The stations are carried on channel 10 on most local cable systems and are independent stations which focus on local news, sports, and weather. HTV 10 also broadcasts other locally-produced programming.
