We're more than
just a port.

Port of Terrebonne is located on the Houma Navigational Canal, which provides direct, deep water access and infrastructure for marine traffic and cargo flows connecting tenants and industry to the Gulf of Mexico and the world beyond. The Port’s commissioners take an active role in advocating for the port and its tenants, offering strategic planning and industry-related lobbying.

As Port of Terrebonne continues to innovate and evolve with the energy sector, one constant is the skilled workforce from Houma and surrounding communities that provide high-quality, specialized labor and support for our industrial
marine services partners.

Deepening the Houma
Navigational Canal

The Houma Navigational Canal is Terrebonne Parish's vital connection to the Gulf of Mexico and the rest of the world, supporting industries like offshore energy, shipbuilding, and marine transportation. Deepening the canal from 15 to 20 feet will boost economic growth, improve navigation efficiency, and further protect our wetlands.
